Dry-rub your brisket with any of our speciality gourmet rubs, we tried Meat Church Gospel rub. The brisket is then seared, and put to slow cook in the oven alongside onions in a rich braising liquid made of beef stock, vinegar, tomato puree, garlic, peppercorns, and a bay leaf.
Prep time is approx 1 hour, but cooking will take all day!

Contest Rules
1. Contest Period: The "Newmans Fine Foods: Summer BBQ 2023 Contest" (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest") will be held from June 19 at 10:00 AM PST to September 4 at 6:00 PM PST (the "Contest Period").
2. The Contest is organized by Newmans Fine Foods (referred to as the "Contest Group").
3. Eligibility: The Contest is open to legal residents of British Columbia who are at least nineteen (19) years of age or older as of the date of entering the Contest.
Employees, agents and other representatives of the Contest Group, as well as any person with whom they reside, are not eligible to enter the Contest.
4. Methods of Entry: To enter the Contest, participants must fulfill one of the following methods:
a) In-store Entry: spend a minimum of $150 in a single transaction at Newmans Fine Foods during the Contest Period to receive one entry form into the Contest distributed at checkout. Participants will receive an entry form upon purchase, which must be completed with accurate and legible contact information. To enter the Contest, participants must meet entry requirements, and fill out an entry form by hand with their name, email address, and phone number and deposit it into the specially marked box at Newmans Fine Foods before store closing on Sept 4, 2023. Each valid entry will constitute as one entry into the Contest.
b) No purchase necessary. Mail-in Entry: Participants may enter the Contest without making a purchase by mailing a handwritten entry with their full name, complete mailing address, telephone number, and email address to: [#105-5188 springs blvd]. Each mail-in entry must be sent in a separate envelope bearing sufficient postage and be received before the contest closing. Limit one mail-in entry per envelope.
Limit one entry per person, per day, regardless of the method of entry.
5. Prize: The prizes for the Contest are as follows:
Grand Prize: A Baron Broil King BBQ and an ultimate BBQ steak pack with an approximate retail value of $1800.
Secondary Prizes (2): An Ultimate BBQ steak pack $250 retail value per.
6. Draw: The winner will be selected in a random draw conducted by Newmans Fine Foods within 7 days after the end of the Contest Period. The draw will be conducted using a random selection method to ensure fairness with the grand prize drawn first followed by the secondary prizing.
7. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
8. Awarding of Prize: The selected winners will be notified by phone within 10 days after the respective draws. The winners must respond within 7 days to claim their prizes. If the selected winners fail to claim their prizes within the specified time, alternate winners may be selected.
8.1 To be declared a winner, a selected entrant must, in addition to meeting the Contest eligibility criteria and otherwise complying with the Contest Rules, first:
(a) Be reached by phone (at the phone number associated with the entrant’s entry) by the Administrator or its representatives; (b) Have correctly answered a mathematical skill-testing question in the declaration and release documentation; and (d) Sign and have witnessed the declaration and release documentation and return it to the email address indicated in the documentation for it to be received within the time stipulated by the Administrator or its representatives.
8.2. Disqualification: If any one of the conditions mentioned in the Rules is not met, the selected entrant will be disqualified and shall not be entitled to receive any prize, and the Administrator reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select at random another eligible entrant as a potential prize winner or to cancel the prize.
8.3. Delivery of Prize: Following receipt of the selected entrant’s signed declaration and release documentation, the Administrator or its representatives will release the Prize to the winner which must be picked up from 105-5188 Springs Blvd. Delivery is not included.
9. General Terms and Conditions:
a. The Contest is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
b. The prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable. No cash alternatives or substitutions are available, except at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer.
c. Substitution of Prizes: The Administrator reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and for any reason whatsoever, to substitute for any prize, or part thereof, another prize of equivalent or greater value, including, without limitation, a cash award.
d. All entries become the property of the Contest Organizer and will not be returned.
e. By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of Newmans Fine Foods.
f. No purchase necessary. To enter without making a purchase, participants must follow the mail-in entry method as described above.
g, Newmans Fine Foods reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the rules or engages in fraudulent activity.
h. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these rules or tampering with the entry process or operation of the Contest.
i. Newmans Fine Foods reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice.
j. The personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Contest and will be handled in accordance with the Newmans Fine Foods privacy policy.
k. Participants acknowledge that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any third party.
l. Release and Exclusion of Liability by the Entrants: By entering or attempting to enter the Contest, each entrant and/or purported entrant agrees: (i) to release, discharge, and forever hold harmless the Contest Group from any and all claims, actions, damages, demands, manner of actions, causes of action, suits, debts, duties, accounts, bonds, covenants, warranties, indemnities, claims over, contracts and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising out of, or in connection with the entrant’s participation or attempted participation in the Contest, compliance or noncompliance with these Contest Rules and acceptance and use of the prize. Any entrant selected for a prize acknowledges that upon awarding of the prize, the obligations typically borne by the provider of services or goods become that provider’s responsibility; and (ii) if selected as a potential winner, to sign the declaration and release documentation (see Rule 8.1) in this regard before receiving their prize. The Contest Group will not be responsible for lost, incomplete, late or misdirected entries during the Contest Period, or for any technical malfunction or other problems with, any access providers, computer equipment or software or for any technical problems, or any combination of the foregoing, and will not be liable for any resulting death, injury or damage to any person or property arising from, or relating to, that person’s or any other person’s participation or attempted participation in the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Administrator reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
m. Name/Image of Winners: By entering the Contest, the winner authorizes the Administrator and its advertising and promotional agencies and their respective employees or other representatives to broadcast, publish and otherwise use the winner’s name, photograph, image, statements regarding the Contest or any prize, place of residence and (or) voice for publicity purposes, without any form of remuneration.
n. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta or Squarespace. The entrant provides personal information to the Administrator, not to Meta/Squarespace. Squarespace/Meta is completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Administrator and not to Meta/Squarespace.
